Alertr: Inventory Management ("Alertr", "we", "us") is operated by Lexar. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
When you install Alertr on your Shopify store, we access and store:
- Product and variant data — titles, SKUs, and inventory quantities via the Shopify API.
- Order line items — SKU, quantity, and order date. We use this to calculate sell rates. We do not access or store customer names, emails, addresses, or any personally identifiable information (PII).
- Store metadata — your store domain, for authentication and multi-tenant data isolation.
- Configuration — settings you choose within the app (lookback days, thresholds, alert emails, Slack webhook URL).
What We Do Not Collect
- Customer names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses
- Payment or financial information
- Browsing or analytics data
- Data from any other Shopify app
How We Use Your Data
- Calculate inventory sell rates and days-of-stock estimates
- Generate low stock alerts sent to email addresses and Slack webhooks you configure
- Display your inventory dashboard within the Shopify admin
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party, except for transactional email delivery via Resend (our email provider) when you configure alert emails.
Where Data Is Stored
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in Germany (Contabo VPS). All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Data is isolated per store — no store can access another store's data.
Data Retention
- While installed: We retain your inventory snapshots and alert history for as long as the app is installed.
- After uninstall: All data associated with your store is permanently deleted within 30 days of uninstall, in compliance with Shopify's
shop/redactwebhook.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your stored data or request deletion at any time by contacting us. Uninstalling the app triggers automatic deletion.
